She has been a BCBA since 2009 and also holds the International Behavior Analyst (IBA) certification, allowing her to support and collaborate with families around the world.
Originally from Seattle, Samia earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Education with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Washington. She completed her graduate practicum at the Experimental Education Unit at the Haring Center for Research and Training in Inclusive Education.
Throughout her career, Samia has held leadership, clinical, and training roles with organizations across Washington State, Texas, Louisiana, both Northern and Southern California and Michigan. She is especially passionate about coaching parents, training professionals and making the science of Applied Behavior Analysis practical, compassionate, and accessible to the families and communities it serves.
Samia founded Thrive Behavior Care with a commitment to continually improving the way behavioral services are delivered. Her goal is to provide high-quality, compassionate, and individualized support while helping children and families build meaningful skills that make a lasting difference in their everyday lives.
Outside of her professional work, Samia enjoys crafting, painting, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her husband and three children.
"I absolutely love being able to celebrate the achievements—big and small—of the individuals and families we work with each day. Having the opportunity to be part of their journey and help them reach their potential is an incredibly inspiring and rewarding privilege."
