Service Description
Whether you’re getting ready to start, feeling stuck after weeks or months of trying, or dealing with resistance, accidents, or inconsistency, this live workshop will help you better understand what’s happening behind the behavior—and what to do next. Potty Training That Works takes a practical, science-based approach to toilet training while keeping compassion, connection, and your child’s individual needs at the center. In this live workshop, Samia Ahmed, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 25 years of experience supporting children and families, will break down the behavioral principles behind successful toilet training and show you how to apply them in everyday life. You’ll learn: How to recognize signs that your child may be ready for toilet training How to set up a potty-training routine that encourages success How reinforcement can help build independent toileting skills What to do when your child resists sitting on or using the toilet How to respond to accidents without creating shame or unnecessary pressure Common potty-training mistakes that can unintentionally make the process harder Practical strategies for building independence and making progress more consistent This workshop is intentionally kept small to create a more personal, interactive experience, with time for questions, discussion, and real-life problem solving. You’ll leave with a better understanding of the why behind potty-training challenges, a practical plan for moving forward, and strategies you can begin using right away. The goal isn’t to potty train every child in three days. It’s to understand your child, teach the skills they need, and create a positive, effective path toward greater toileting independence.
